Wondering what our BCC members did during the February long weekend? From attending concerts, to visiting friends on UPenn's campus, our members had a relaxing and eye-opening long weekend. In this post, we'll be looking at some recent highlights from our project and committee members!
🌟 Victoria @ Penn
Victoria spent her long weekend visiting friends from home at Penn. It was a whole reunion as some of them travelled from Berkeley. During her stay she went to many spots. If you visit Penn, make sure to hit these stops!
🌟 Eva @ the slopes
Evanour hit the slopes! Embarking on a 1.5h drive to Wachusett mountain, Massachusetts, Evanour spent her long weekend skiing, hiking, and chilling with friends! Crazy how 20 people in a 12 person AirBnB did not end in chaos. She recommends the waffles with chocolate syrup after skiing, and catching the sunrise at the lake!
🌟 Evy & Nozomi @ DC
Evy and Nozomi went on a roommate retreat to Washington, DC! Their collective highlights were home cooked meals prepared by their roommates’ moms, hitting 4 museums in one day, and “eating hella bagels”. They also walked a dog, Nozomi lost her voice, and went to a diner at 6am. A very patriotic retreat indeed.
🌟 Ali @ Brown
Alison held down the fort! Having stayed here in Providence, Rhode Island, Alison had the chance to explore the town. Her parents visited her from Boston, and together they went to Nitro Bar and Pastiche - major highlight was the snow!

🌟 Dane @Aespa
In three nouns, Dane’s weekend was Aespa, sweets, and gym. Over the long weekend, Dane visited his extended family in Chicago, where they all went to an Aespa concert together. While he was sad he wasn’t in Providence spending time with friends, he was glad he could spend time with his family–in fact, if he could go back and do one thing again, he’d make sure to cherish and value those moments especially.
Dane didn’t know Aespa that well, so the biggest surprise all weekend was that he had a great concert experience. His family bought great seats, which had a clear view of the girl group, and Giselle’s solo song was especially enthralling. “I was so shocked, and I still listen to the song,” said Dane. It was a very kpop weekend for Dane: when I asked him to describe his weekend as a TV show, he said the genre would be Korean broadcast music news, aptly soundtracked by Whiplash by Aespa.
🌟 Tony @ Vermont
This past long weekend, Tony drove up to southern Vermont with some friends where they rented a log cabin in the woods. Even though the Airbnb was complete with a hot tub on the deck, the freezing temperatures meant that any wet hair would freeze solid.
On Monday, they set out for Stratton Mountain for a full day of skiing and snowboarding. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans with strong winds forcing many of the trails to close. Despite the challenging conditions, Tony and his friends made the most of it. At one point, however, Tony collided with a tree—luckily it was nothing too serious.
Despite the cold and the wind, the weekend was filled with laughter, good company, and plenty of time to relax in the warmth of the cabin.
