Case@Brown is Brown University’s first and premiere student-run case competition, designed to immerse students in the fast-paced world of management consulting. Sponsored by leading strategy consulting firms and Brown Consulting Club, Case@Brown offers participants the chance to dive into real-world business problems while honing their problem-solving and analytical skills.

Who can participate in Case@Brown?The competition is open to all students attending a college or university that can attend the in person events in the spring

Where is Case@Brown?The competition has been traditionally held in New Watson, which is across Starr Plaza from the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs. We will begin the competition at Stephen Robert '62 Hall.

What are the prizes?$500 for the winning team and $100 for each finalist team. In addition, the winning team will be invited to an exclusive networking dinner with PwC! You won't want to miss out on this incredible opportunity.

Is any experience in consulting necessary to participate?Not at all! Our main focus for Case@Brown is for it to be a learning experience for you, the participant. There will be many workshops open to students to learn about the nature of consulting and to get started with their cases.

Will BCC match me with a team if I do not have a team?Yes, BCC will match you up with team members based on your preferences as stated in the application form if you do not have your own team.

Is there an application process to participate?No, there is no application process.

Is there a fee to participate?No, Case@Brown is free of charge.

How many members should each team have for the case competition?Each team should be composed of 4 members.

What is the format of the competition?Teams will be asked to solve a case problem (Ex: Should Company X acquire Company Y?). At the end, company representatives judge the solutions presented by each team and the top 5 teams will be invited to present their solutions.

Can I go to the workshops and networking event if I do not join the competition?Yes! Please sign up as a participant on our registration form.
