As fall begins, it’s the perfect moment to look back at a summer well spent. From exploring new countries to sharpening skills in consulting and finance, BCC members made the most of their break. In this post, we’re spotlighting highlights from our project and committee teams— feel free to cue up our summer playlist while you read to have the most immersive experience!

If Ali’s summer could be captured in three words, it would be connected, learned, and frolicked, which truly captures the curiosity and lighthearted exploration. Aptly titled “Investment Banking Deep Dive,” her summer was one of diving headfirst into new experiences while still finding joy in the little things (and yes, plenty of green matcha).
Ali describes her summer color as green — inspired by NYC park strolls, matcha mornings, and the green grape HEYTEA craze that fueled her days. The soundtrack to it all? “Torn” by Natalie Imbruglia, playing on loop as she balanced city adventures with moments of reflection.
Heading into the semester, Ali is carrying forward a mindset of openness: embracing new challenges with curiosity and calm. She’s also keeping her newfound habit of waking up early, giving her space to slow down and set the tone for the day before the rush begins.

For Amanda, this summer was all about gelato, flights, and palaces — three words that perfectly sum up her European adventures and entrepreneurial energy. Her slide title, “Europe Beli-fied,” captures the essence of a season spent blending travel, creativity, and startup hustle.
The color of her summer? Bright orange — a nod to Passionfroot, the vibrant startup she worked for. Her soundtrack of choice was “Petals” by Bibio, a mellow yet playful tune that matched the rhythm of her travels.
As she heads into the semester, Amanda brings with her a creative spark — and a new skill: photo editing in Lightroom. She also picked up a new habit of cooking, proudly mastering the art of a perfectly seared salmon.

Tony’s summer in three words? Busy, traffic, and energizing: a fitting trio for a season that blended long commutes, fast-paced work, and a glimpse into the corporate grind. His slide title, “Tony Goes Corporate,” says it all: a deep dive into the world of business, caffeine, and city hustle.
He colors his summer red and blue owing to the fact that nearly every major bank’s logo has these colors. The soundtrack behind it all was “Music for the Soul” by Sam Barber.
Now heading into senior year, Tony’s focus is on taking it chill — slowing down, soaking it in, and truly enjoying every last bit of Brown. His new habit? Playing guitar, a creative outlet that keeps the energy flowing even after the workday ends.

Hudson’s summer was a tour of the Northeast in both geography and growth, filled with long drives (of the literal and golfing kind) and new discoveries along the way.
The color of his summer? Red! Because, as he puts it, he “drank the McKinsey Kool-Aid.” Between consulting exposure, travel, and sun-soaked weekends, Hudson’s season was equal parts ambition and humor. The soundtrack to it all was “Killing Me Softly With His Song” by The Fugees featuring Ms. Lauryn Hill.
Going into the semester, Hudson’s mindset is simple: you only live once. And while he might admit to starting assignments right before they’re due, he’s got the philosophy (and confidence) to back it up — after all, diamonds form under pressure.

Kayla’s summer can be summed up in three words: food, rhythm, and sidewalk. Her slide title, “Tracking Performance Beyond the 9-to-5,” perfectly captures her mix of professional growth and personal reflection.
The color of her summer was blue: not only is it her favorite color, but it also carries sentimental feelings. Every moment felt tinged with bittersweetness, knowing that the joy of her work, friendships, and daily routines in NYC was temporary. “It all felt like it ended too soon,” she reflects — but that just makes her all the more excited to return someday.
Her summer soundtrack was “Desire” by Bixby, a song that mirrors her thoughtful, grateful energy. This semester, Kayla is bringing with her a mindset of gratitude, grounded in the perspective she gained from living a whole different life for a few months. And like any true New Yorker-in-training, she’s picked up running: a habit that’s now taking her on new routes through Providence.
Thanks for reading and tuning in with our members' summer! We’ll keep sharing what our projects and committees are building as the semester unfolds. Tune in next time for more BCC highlights ✨🕺💙
